"Philippians 4:13"
I have known Ricky for about 6-7 years now. We have grown up in the christian church together and I consider him to be almost like an older brother.Ricky is an outgoing person, loves to socialize, easy going and has a good sense of humor. He is very easy to talk to and a good person to have a conversation with. Ricky is about 6 feet tall with a very fit body.As I sat in front of him to interview his voice was strong and direct. He likes to wear shirts that are a bit tight around his arms because he is the type of guy that likes to show off his muscles. Ricky is now 20 and since he was 18 he has been telling me that hes been wanting to get a tattoo that will be significant to him.
"Can you describe your tattoo?" I asked him.
" It is a cross with the bible verse in the middle that says 'I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength' he answered.
"What does this tattoo mean to you?"
"This verse gives me the motivation to only make myself a better person and be successful throughout my life with God in it. The significance of the cross is to show I am a dedicated christian and will live my life to only please God."
"Why did you place it on your right arm?"
"My right arm is my strongest arm from my left.It represents how this verse is my strength"
"What happened when it was time to show our pastor and your mom?"
"I feel like tattoos are a decision made by you and I was strongly inspired and impacted by this verse, and if my mom or pastor did not approve of it I wouldn't argue or feel guilty because it is my body and I decide what I do."
